virtual architecture
The concept for 'virtual:memory' was derived from a teaching unit titled DESC9103: Virtual Architecture available at the University of Sydney, Australia. The course unit focused on teaching students the theories, practices and ideas of designing virtual spaces.

virtual:memory
I wished to acknowledge my own subjective views of 'memory', and how these could be represented as a virtual space. To do this, the project explored four aspects of memory throughout its construction. Firstly, memories change; over time our perspective of certain memories alter. Secondly, memories are connected; often recalling one memory, will trigger a number of other memories somehow connected to the original. Thirdly, memories fade; over time our knowledge and detail of certain memories grow weaker. Finally, memories are not real; no matter how often we recall or reminisce a particular memory, we may never come into contact with it as it is in no way tangible.
