Interactivity

Interaction is used to allow users to explore the dataset. It is understood that by having my objects represent temperature through their colour, the users may wish to explore all possible colours to see what the objects will look like in a very hot location, a very cold location etc.

Interaction occurs during scene 0 and scene 8 of the demoscene. To signal that interaction is present, the letter 'i' appears in the top left corner of the screen. The interaction exists on the Plane objects. To initiate interaction the user must click on the plane object, they are then able to explore all possible temperature values from the dataset by moving the mouse point from left to right - where left shows colder temperatures and right shows hotter temperatures. By moving the mouse to theleft the user can see what the objects would look like when the locations temperature is cold and by moving the mouse to the right they can see what the objects would look like when the locations temperature is hot.
